The Million-Dollar Mint Julep

In celebration of Derby Day which recently passed, we’re toasting to ‘Sovereignty’ and all things thrilling and traditional. We bet that you’ll absolutely love this delicious Mint Julep recipe that is jockeying to be a Quite Frankly stable…er, staple.
Whether you’re a fan of horse racing or just like to don a fancy hat from time to time, this classic cocktail is a southern hit that’s sure to awaken your spirits right out of the gate.
TALK DERBY TO ME…INGREDIENTS:
2 oz. Woodford Reserve, Maker’s Mark or any Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey of your choosing
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
3 Fresh Mint Leaves
Crushed Ice
RIDERS UP…RIDING INSTRUCTIONS:
• Express the essential oils in the mint and rub it inside the glass.
• To the same glass, add simple syrup, bourbon and crushed ice.
• Stir.
• Garnish with more ice and fresh mint.
