The Quite Frankly Bulletin

A monthly chronicle of the nightly broadcast.

Issue No.12 | July 7, 2025

Welcome to the July edition of The Quite Frankly Bulletin. It’s hard to believe but this issue marks one full year of dedicated content for the Frankly community. While this publication will be shifting to a digital, quarterly magazine in September, we are so very proud of the work we have accomplished so far. None of it would be possible without your continued support and dazzling contributions; whether you submitted your writing, photos, recipes, or simply gave your time in reading and sharing the newsletter with friends, we thank you!

Summertime is upon us! As the nation celebrates her birthday and we decorate our homes with patriotic flair, the warmer weather brings opportunity for connection with friends and family. Quite Frankly contributor, Tommy Sage, returns to the Bulletin to explore these eternal bonds. Fan favorite guest, KrisAnne Hall, examines ways that “We the People” can reclaim the Republic. And Michelle Leivan reflects on how the Quite Frankly Book Club has resurfaced one of her most indelible childhood memories. All of this and so much more from Frank and his family. We’re so glad to have you with us.

Behind the Scenes

As I write this essay, I reflect on July 4—a day that always seems miles away until it’s right on top of you. 2025 is a year that sounds like it could only ever be numerals picked at random to create a futuristic backdrop for some Stallone film from the 1990s. But be that as it may, this was my best Fourth of July in recent memory.

The weather up here in the northeast was perfect: mid-80s with low humidity and minimal plane-fart cloud cover. A great mix of family and friends attended, everyone ate well, and as for fireworks, we had enough explosives to choke a blue whale. Aurora played with her cousins until she slipped into a blissfully delirious state of exhaustion. Given the devastation we are learning about in Texas, particularly involving the tragic loss of so many young people, our family is feeling very blessed.

Throughout the day’s events, I was in some form of reflection and prayer. Half of this year is already gone (the Christmas in July Hallmark movies are playing), and this always invites me to reassess and be grateful. 2025 has provided plenty of opportunities for growth and challenges to be met—all outside of the nightly show that you watch in your own time.

Over the first seven months of the year, I have legally reorganized the business, dealt with a truly pathetic trademark issue with a New Age desert-dweller in a turban, began planning the Quite Frankly Jamboree, and worked through many other issues both personally and professionally. With all of that going on, what you see on-screen is almost like a nightly getaway I’m able to take for a few hours at the studio. Connecting with the audience during the broadcast and watching Aurora play T-ball are two of my greatest sources of joy. T-ball has been a trip!

Aurora loved staying up late with her “big cousins”, Jaden and Jasmine for fireworks & fun!

Still, there is something different about the summer sun, the Fourth of July, this midway point in the year. It’s a physical shift in gears that makes January through mid-May feel as though it was another year altogether; and with that, we will travel this steamy, sunny, wormhole into the wondrous world of autumn…which leads me to my next thought:

This is the last monthly newsletter, as we are switching to a quarterly schedule, better-focused on seasonal themes and spotlights on our wonderful community of Franklies. I’ve loved this newsletter from its very first edition and would like to thank Krista Roman for creating it, and to my wife, Lauren, for working to help Krista prepare it for launch.

Much more on the way, my friends. In the meantime, please continue to watch the show and read through the incredible archive of past editions of the Bulletin, which are chock-full of evergreen stories, recipes, and special content that were meant to live forever and be enjoyed!

-Frank

Celebrating July 4th Is Not Enough: Reclaiming the Republic They Are Trying to Erase

By KrisAnne Hall, JD

Let me be clear: the Constitution does not give you rights. You were born with Natural Rights. The Constitution exists to limit government power and preserve those rights. But we’ve been conditioned to believe government grants rights, courts defend them, and our only job is to wait for permission. So instead of standing up and defending liberty, we’ve become passive consumers of government, hoping the system will fix itself.

Spoiler alert: it won’t.

So what’s the solution? It starts with truth. It starts with us.

“Hey Frank this is Mike, a traveling stone mason around eastern USA. We just finished this 25ft tall archway and got a few more listeners from the crew since QF was on the boom box frequently. The bear is 1600 lbs, we'd like to see how Matt would handle that battle.”

In a recent episode of Quite Frankly, Frank’s social feeds came up in conversation with one caller expressing that seeing Frank’s personal comments and likes on social media were an extension of the show. One of the last YouTubers who have kept it real, L.A. Beast has been entertaining the masses since way back in the day. He’s a competitive eater, but sometimes it doesn’t go according to plan…and he ends up in the hospital. Not for viewers with a queasy stomach.

Trainwreck: Poop Cruise

Speaking of queasy stomachs, this Netflix documentary goes beyond getting seasick. The title both says it all, and not quite enough. This will be a featured conversation-starter on the nightly show. Get your vacation and road trip from hell stories ready for us! Trigger Warning: Poop.

The ultimate joy-scroll: the best of the best trending videos—or videos people have forgotten about—all in one shareable account.

Looking Ahead

When we aren’t consumed by our love for producing Quite Frankly, we will spend the rest of the summer tanning in the driveway, taking rides to the local beaches, pool hopping…we mean “visiting family,” and taking things as slowly as possible. Except for Frank, he moves like a tank into battle, always.

Most of all, we will be preparing to see many of you in September!
