For many in the Quite Frankly community, we are preparing to spring ahead with turning our clocks forward, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, observe the Lenten season, and welcome the vernal equinox. It’s a busy time filled with hope, reflection and renewal.

The 1st Film Club Review

Christopher Nolan’s 2014, Interstellar, paints Earth's future with a global crop blight and second Dust Bowl which are slowly rendering the planet uninhabitable, sending former (now secret) NASA space pilot Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and a team of researchers through a wormhole and across the galaxy to find out which of three planets could potentially be mankind's new home.

This film was a wild ride through space and the fundamental ideas of time-travel, causing some Franklies to have a tough time suspending our current reality and beliefs, while others felt Nolan portrayed a touching and emotional experience weighing the significance of saying goodbye to your own family, for the “greater good” of humanity.

With this first go at Film Club, we really enjoyed maintaining all the interactive and cultural analysis charm of dissecting a piece of art, like we do with literature in Book Club. It gave us a lot more of an opportunity for dynamic discussion because we were able to talk about visuals and music on top of only a plot summary.

Vintage Frankly

This one wasn’t Quite Frankly, but it was one for the books. Take a step back in time with Zedalza New York. Go way back to last month and watch the “Saturday Night Special: Zedalza New York 2/22/2025”.

Featuring Mike and Anthony, this episode saw the original broadcast crew reunited. Zedalza New York was the show that kicked off Frank’s passion for broadcasting and new media. What started as a late-night talk-show at Frank’s old college stomping grounds back in 2006, eventually evolved into the show we now know and love as Quite Frankly. The guys chat about their growth over the decades, share some of their fondest segments and guest memories, and all the crazy moments that came along with ZNY.
